Off the Grid & Getting Bills

Before the update I received no bills. After the update bills came again.

To be realistic even if you live "off the grid" Im sure you still have to pay "taxes" on the land. I totally get what you're saying though.

Alright well that’s a bummer. Every dollar counts when being off the grid and starting with $0...

I've been playing an off grid household, and they haven't received any bills. Thought they weren't supposed to?

I thought so too, it took a few days but she had to pay bills!

Well, if you don't pay they cut off electricity. But you don't need it anyway :)

Seriously. What are they going to do if you don't pay?

Lol for real, that's just silly that they get bills then! I'd feel guilty if I didn't pay though... I imagine something like a repo man coming and taking my sim's stuff though like sims 2. I don't think there is anything like that in sims 4 though?

There is no more repo man. That used to be my main motivation for paying my Sims' bills, even for rich Sims. When the repo man came, he'd take something really weird, like the upstairs toilet or the only bed in the house!

On topic though, I've seen some people say they didn't get bills and some people say they did, so I wonder why. Maybe it has to do with what packs you use, or maybe the people with bills have objects on their lots that aren't off-the-grid and that triggers it?

I have base game, cats & dogs, and Island Living. All my sim has so far on her lot is a bed, trash bin, an easel, and an "off the grid" toilet.
