Oh, How Apropos …
I created the Labor Day holiday in my game. And all but forgot when it was coming. Shortly after their second child arrived, I had them try for baby. What I didn't expect was that Meghan would go into labor, on Labor Day. How apropos, don't you think? Not only that, but the poor Sim is struggling to keep up with her first two children, now both toddlers. And, she just gave birth to TWINS. That was totally unexpected. All I can say is she brought this on herself. There were any number of times I caught her autonomously watching the kids' channel.
Silly Sim, if you don't wish to have multiples, don't watch that channel un-directed.
I have used the MCCC to control my Sims' younger sister's children: gender and birth order. With my Global Superstar I'm just letting the game dictate. I don't even use MCCC to be certain his wife has conceived. I don't have her take a pregnancy test, either. I'm just taking it as it comes. :)

P.S. Guess my Global Superstar had to keep up with his younger sister. Her first baby was identical twin boys. LOL She is now the mother of five. Three boys and two girls. Erik just now is the father of four, two boys and two girls. They are such competitive Sims siblings. :open_mouth: What will they do next?
