Are you firing the Butler because of her baby? You could keep the butler and hire a nanny instead. Wonder if she will take the baby with her if you fire her or she quits after she gives birth.
I'm not really sure at this point how it will play out. The Butler is an NPC that doesn't take up any household slots, although they are live-in. Not certain about the baby, though.
