Oh No! Winterfest Shenanigans!!

OMG! I have a much loved family I have been playing for a long time now using the long lifespan setting, multiple generations. I play rotationally between the brother's and the sister's households, both of whom are now adults, married and the sister has 4 kids with a (what I thought was) loving husband. Thought it would be lovely to get them all together at the sister's house to celebrate my first ever Sims 4 Winterfest and that was all going great, had a total of 9 sims together in the house all socialising, Father Winter turned up and they were all receiving gifts. Next minute I notice woohoo happening in the sauna! Who's that I think to myself? Sure enough, the sister's husband and the brother's wife emerge snuggling together in their towels :o :s :/ :'(
I have MCCC as my only mod and so while on one hand I love the spontaneity, on the other hand I'm devastated and can't take it!! LOL These two have no previous romantic relationship status or interactions, they are not even particularly good friends, just totally spontaneous woohoo. What do I do now?! Do I carry on like nothing happened since no one else knows? Or do I let them carry on their secret relationship? Argh!

Anyone else had anything unexpected and scandalous happen on their seasonal holidays yet?

I'm wondering if the sauna has something to do with it. I've had two couples autonomously decide to go and woohoo there. And with one couple it was immediately upon acquaintance. Friendly introduction followed by woohoo. Amazing.

It's my first time playing a house with a sauna in it (!!) so it may well happen again next time the family meet up :D
As far as I can tell no other family members were witness to the "event". I'm going to see what happens when I swap households again. There is a chance she could be pregnant now as well...

Oh that is so awesome. What I would do, as oneone caught them is to just let things develop on their own. If they do it the next time and get caught then maybe time for the little darlings to make some hard decisions.

This reminds me of the Bjergsen family and when I had Bjorn (on purpose btw) catch his wife in the closet with that handsome male maid. Their marriage is still going strong though, I think even gotten stronger, surprisingly, and the affair is even still going on even though Bjorn and the lad really loathe each other. Fortunatly the maid's workhours are within the hours Bjorn is at work

God I MISS that save! I just hope the the fix patch comes online soon.
  • I want your game! I wish my Sims did more fun things on their own. Mine just fetch glasses of water all the time.
  • I remember my shock when my very first sim (TS1), a happily married woman, fell in love with another sim simply because he flirted with her. ??!!! I quit out immediately. Lydia was not a cheater! (ETA: she was named for a classmate who'd been killed in a car crash, & I was not having it. I generally don't make sims after people I've known anymore.)

Since then, I've grown accustomed to it. The only time Sims have been faithful has been in--what was it, late TS3?--when they gave us a system for indicating when a relationship was monogamous.

Otherwise, they've been very opportunistic. So I roll with it...or rather, they do the rolling, and I just laugh at them.
