Oh, No!

When you've gone to great lengths to set up a party for your Sim's wife and her triplet sisters, and his wife is brought to the cake at least twice, but walks away, and then you realize he's blowing out the candles! :open_mouth: It's moments like this I'm glad I use mods. Since there doesn't appear to be any way to stop him, besides exiting without saving. Oi! I need to relax, not get all cranked up. LOL Come on, Erik. I know my goal is to have you still going strong in your elder years, but you just became a full Adult. I'm not ready to play you as an old foggy. Not yet. Why, oh, why?

  • I have done that more times that I can count.

I also accidently killed Bella Goth by aging her up to an adult in CAS not realizing she was about to age up anyway. That wasn't with the cake but still. She happened to die when my sim and Alexander were on their first date. Needless to say, that date was ruin. My sim did end up actually marrying Alexander anyway though.
  • I have done that a couple of times. Needless to say, I save my game ALOT so in the event I have to exit in an emergency fashion I don't lose too much progress hahahahaq

I generally do this too, particularly because of crashes but yeah, also for mistakes like these. But sometimes I forget to save as I go, argh.
  • last week I killed my sims new, second non cheating, husband (just when she had found happiness!) this way as it was her son supposed to age up - I looked away and clicked on the wrong person - very quick non save exit phew!! he aged up and died on the spot , never seen that before.
  • I would actually love to be able to have a birthday party and blow out the candles on the cake without aging up. We don't only have three birthdays in our lives you know lol.

Oh, I think the game is telling you something. :open_mouth:

There is a mod put out by KS (KwaiiStacie) called Memorable Events. In this she has a Half-Birthday Event. I've not tried this one yet, but maybe it would suit your needs? I know what you're feeling. You become a teen when you reach the age of thirteen, yet there's also a very special birthday in that category called Sweet Sixteen — but the Sim (and the person) are still teens! Would be very nice to mark this time without the Sim actually aging up.

@GalacticGal Oh thanks for the info! I'll have to check that out :)

You're very welcome. It's been newly updated, I just reinstalled it into my game. :)
