Oh, Now That's Just Messed Up!

A Sim drowned during an autonomous swim in Saluni.

This happened ages ago, and all these sims are all gone and dead, but my sim Delilah was having her weddingon a Sulani beach. So Delilah and her new husband, Henry, got married, cut the cake, done all of that. They had just got done doing that when Henry runs over to the shore. Delilah’s mother, Kersie (yes, my user, as well), was close by. He pursues his WIVES mother, who is married, right after he just done the ceremony! Thankfully, Kersie rejects his advances and stays true to her husband. Unfortunately for Kersie, as true as she was being, her husband saw this, and apparently poor Kersie had still cheated even though she didn’t. This was completely on their own, I didn’t have them do it.

I love the autonomous stuff the most, don't you? LOL Great story.

A few weeks after Seasons was released, I had my main Sim and his new bride throw a Winterfest party. He invited his parents, his brother and sister-in-law and their twin sons, his sister and her boyfriend, along with his BBF who was single. The wife had prepared the Grand Meal the day before so not to be stuck in the kitchen when the guests arrived. She made drinks for the adults and set out glasses of juice for the twin boys. All was fine until I spotted the twins with plates of food which could only mean they had helped themselves to her Grand Meal. So she called everyone to eat a bit early. But she wouldn't eat with the rest of her guests. After grabbing a plate of food she went into her room and ate while seated on the bed. After washing the dishes, they gathered around the tree to sing then exchange gifts. She gave everyone nice gifts but every single one of them gave her lumps of coal! And when Father Winter showed up he gave her coal as well. Then the mother-in-law insulted her, the husband's BFF hit on her, and her husband wouldn't stop pranking her. The good relationships she previously had with everyone at the party, were in the red so I decided it was time to end this disaster early before she died from being so angry. Her first attempt at throwing a family celebration was a failure. Then without any warning she left the home after deciding to end her short marriage. It all happened so quickly I didn't know what to do except allow her to make the decision without any interference from me. To be honest, I didn't blame her for wanting to get away from that family after they treated her so badly.

I was tempted to do that but I felt she had good reasons behind her decision and just went with it. She never became friends again with any member of that family, either. She became a successful author, remarried, and raised four kids with her new husband. But she never forgave her ex husband and his family for that awful Winterfest. It was a bit of drama that I hadn't expected, nor did I have a hand in creating it. So it was a fun storyline to play. :)

I thought I'd start a Legacy game - following the rules and everything! My starter Sim, Lucy Legacy went on a couple of dates, one with Johnny Zest and one with Travis Scott. Whilst on the date with Travis, he disappeared to woohoo in the closet with someone else. WHILE HE WAS ON A DATE! That's a red flag right there!

Anyway, she married Johnny and they had Luke. I got through the toddler stage, he hit 3 of the 4 child aspirations and then the random trait generator gave me Party Animal as his aspiration! I've never picked any of the social aspirations because, well people, but I thought, ok - learning experience.

I got Luke through Uni, got an A+ degree. He got married (eventually after a random breakup that I had no hand it whatsoever). I thought I'd let them enjoy a bit of time together before conceiving the next heir. In order to complete his Party Animal aspiration, I made him go to all the festivals. So, he's at the Hijinks festival. He's inherited the Goofball trait from his dad. I'm trying to get him to do as many of the social interactions as I can to finish the aspirations. What's this, why has he stopped? What's he doing? HE'S DYING! Sara, his wife, rushes to Grimmy to plead for his life but Grimmy's having none of it. Luke dies along with several intense hours of gameplay. Legacy Challenge failed. I am TRAUMATISED! (But not traumatised enough to start again - same starter sim but I imported a new love match from the gallery (using the #LegacyLoves))

I had something similar happen to my sim, luckily I had a save just before the wedding and I just rolled it back before locking my sim's flirty new husband in the bedroom (home lot wedding ftw) to take multiple colds showers while his new wife entertained the guests. I turned off autonomy after that event.

It took me an entire year before I was ready to start Pinstar's Legacy all over again. I also chose my original Founder. Like the background story that much. I was the one who erred, I'm afraid. I failed to reread the section on what happens if you don't have a heir of the correct gender who has the Trait chosen? Had I done so, I wouldn't have had the older children (including the Heir-Apparent) move off of the lot. Face/palm. I could have just chosen him. Oh, well, you live and learn. Sorry your Legacy went awry. Let's hope the newly imported match will be made in heaven, so to speak. Best of luck!

i had 2 tired children sims - twins - i send them both to bed after completing the days homework... queue it, no worries -i should've worried-

i carry on with the other sims in my household and i hear the music ... "excuse me, they were in bed, whose..." *pans to twin 1... drowning in the swimming pool*

- i manage to bargin for his their... SUCCESS! - i hear the music... twin 2 is now drowning.
- goes to bargain for their life... not this timeeeeee
