Ok seriously what is with anti social dancing agenda of the Sims 4?
Today I decided to send my sims on a date, they went to a night club and I saw the option to dance together. I thought cool, they finally added that feature (i haven't played the sims for years, mostly just lurked) - only to see my sims basically turn their back to one another and dance.
This annoyed me because it made no sense. Could you imagine going on a date, asking your partner to dance than have them turned their back to you on the dance floor like you didn't exist during your date? It would be wwwweeird if not a tiny bit insulting.
Anyway I than noticed that every single sim on the dance floor had picked a spot and danced facing away from any other sim.
So I did an experiment, literally moved/clicked my sims around EVERY single spot on large dance floor and no matter where I put each sim I simply could not manuever them into LOOKING like they were at least facing each other unless I put them on two opposite sides of the room.
Of all the activities that have existed in human history dancing even in the prudish victorian age involved interacting with other people on the dance floor.
Despite the fact that sims can dance in competitions, have dance offs - heck even dance clubs - sims simply seem to refuse to want to look or face at each other as they dance together in Sims 4, well I say dance together but that simple doesn't exist in actual practice in this game.
So I have to say it was just bizarre to find that after 30minutes of trying to get any two sims to face each other on the dance floor was impossible to do, like it was almost designed for sims to be antisocial on the dance floor - which is really bizarre considering how social sims are otherwise.
Heck they will woohoo half the town if left to their own devices - but dance together OOOOH NO! Not that!
I'm not being critical of the sims 4 here, just saying hey maybe we could make sims dance together please? Thank you!
A simple solution would be simple to allow sims to turn and face each other, maybe chat as they dance at least?
