OP, it's too hard and too expensive to add an animation to raise the veil to kiss. That's left on the cutting room floor somewhere.
That is rather old fashioned. Think they went for modern vibe. The Indian bride has a long veil, maybe it comes in white as well.
LOL. Old Fashioned or not, many brides still wear a veil over their face and only move it to be kissed. Not passé as much as some might think.
That's all that remained of the custom to see your wife's face for the first time at the altar. Nothing romantic about that. If people like it, good for them.
Too much studying about what is and was and should be makes the mind dull of possibilities. Lots of cultures still wear something over their faces....whether it's the eyes (short veil) and or their mouth and nose just showing the eyes. It's about the mystery and the seduction and representing purity, which is still practiced in western society by those who want a romantic wedding, just as much as other cultures. And were not involved with the other before a wedding.
@simgirl1010 The comment about the TV shows, lol, TV shows show you what they want you to believe, it's called grooming the viewer into believing traditions are dead and accepting what they want to be instead of what is. Because lots of people here still hold it as tradition or so many of us wouldn't have noticed no veils if it wasn't.
