With my experiences with alien abductions, I used to have a sim get abducted on a pretty much weekly basis until she died. Her daughter was also quite the target for aliens too; weird considering she was a musician.. Once I sent them out to have dinner as a family and the second they got home, her husband got abducted on the spot.
Okay so I just went into my game and my sim got abducted. She’s a celebrity who has nothing to do with aliens or science.
Maybe she's just as big a celebrity on Sixam and the ones who abducted her just really, really, wanted her autograph?
I find it amusing that players still think you have to be in the Science career to be abducted. That isn't so, thankfully. Your Sim has more of a chance to be abducted, from my observations, if they are out later in the evening. Which, by the way, doesn't explain why my Heir got abducted just prior to his wedding, because that was happening in the early evening, I think around 7 pm or maybe 8 pm. Certainly it wasn't in the wee hours. But, were it restricted to just celebrities, scientists or others of a more elite class, I'd be sad. My ancestor who got abducted, as shown in the photos I shared above, wasn't yet the somebody he became. ;)
