Old mystery - Landgraab and Mrs Crumplebottom
Every now and then I come across a tiny bit of Sim history and can not stop investigating until I think I found a solution. we know there are several parallel universes and not all details match from series to series, but still, it's always good to find at least one plausible answer to those old mysteries.
I just found that in the past, Landgraab Industries' largest shareholder was Mrs Crumplebottom.
So, I'm asking: How could Agnes Crumplebottom become the majority shareholder of the Landgraab's life work?
1. Was she actually a Landgraab, inheriting it all? How could that relation be, as I don't thin k we ever heard of it?
2. Was either of her possible husbands, Erik Darling (who drowned) or Robert (the puppeteer who was killed) heirs to those Landgraab Industries shares?
3. Was Agnes Crumplebuttom's parents Simon Crumplebottom and Prudence related to the Landgraabs? They were also parents to Gunther Goth's wife, Cornelia. Was Prudence originally a Landgraab? To inherite the company she ought to be Kermit Landgraab's main heir, suggesting that she was older than Chester Landgraab. But, if so, wouldn't we already know? Cornelia herself was older than Agnes, and would probably have gotten those shares before Agnes anyway, and the Goths had many heirs, too, making it unlikely that Agnes would inherit any shares from Cornelia.
4. If Agnes Crumplebottom simply was rich, which she obviously was for some reason, she can of course have bought the shares herself, but why by Similius would the Landgraabs sell off the majority to their own life work, unless they were forced to? Was there any such reason? I never heard of financial crisis in the Landgraab family.
5. It seems both Agnes' possible husbands died rather young, and - she married them for love, not the money, right? Would actually a puppeteer be wealthy anyway? Don't think so... So it is more likely that her wealth was old family money, in some way.
Any input to my little mystery?
