And I dislike that sims cannot fish because of weather conditions - ice fishing actually is a thing and my sim has the storm chaser trait so he should be able to fish in a thunderstorm. Even with weather effects off - still cannot fish. - I actually hate how the rain affects everything I want to do, and all my old homes that had a lot of outdoor electronics. Don't get me wrong, I like seasons, I just wasn't ready to pull my sims completely inside every other day because of rain. Not to mention every time I want to go on vacation with my sims, it seems to ALWAYS be raining there, so then it's just my sims cloud watching in a rain puddle and I'm hoping they aren't going to be electrocuted since I chose the other family to control. Ha.
- Historicgal7 years agoSeasoned VeteranFlags, hearts and what have you on all the fences. It is nice to have them decorated of a holiday, but they stay that way from the moment you place the fence until you remove it. No one has their fence decorated all year round. And you can't remove the decor from them

Is that a new fencing option? If you are talking about the decorations from the box they don't disappear once you choose remove decorations? - Historicgal7 years agoSeasoned VeteranNot sure, I know is that I didn't pick them, they may have come from the box. Guess I won't be using the boxes any more to decorate. Never thought of that. Thank you will just have to change fences I guess.

Why? Just remove the decorations @HIstoricgal Maybe you should look at a game guide - Kita53997 years agoSeasoned Ace@HIstoricgal
If you want to remove decorations on your active lot, click the decor box and select the option to remove them.
If your issue is with neighbors and venues keeping them up after a holiday, that is a bug/glitch. The workaround is to create a new holiday, and under decoration theme (in the top right corner) choose none. Once the new holiday starts the neighborhood decor should go away. If you don’t want the neighborhood to decorate ever, just edit all your holidays to have none as the the decoration theme (you can still add them to your active lot, but the neighborhood won’t put any up). - ldm27 years agoSeasoned AceToo much rain in some of the worlds. I'm playing a household in Brindleton Bay right now & it's been raining 5 of the last 7 sim days, and 4 of those days have been thunderstorms. I like the rain, but I wish they would scale it back a little bit.

I too find the decor a tad too much and too often. There's "everyday decor" on top of holidays decor. I would not mind if it was only a single thing on their front door or the garden gate, but no, it's surrounding the entire lot if fenced in, and on several levels of the house from foundation to chimney. Even the fence of a jail's backyard has flags on year round! A 64x64 farm has decorated the fences that separate various fields. It's everywhere! I wish we could turn this off in the lot settings, perhaps with a possibility of adding decor manually where we want it. When playing a very poor household it feels weird that they can afford all those flags and festivity.
And I wish only fences facing the street (front side of lot) would be decorated. - LolaLuvsSims7 years agoSeasoned Ace@Simmerville When I'm playing a household without a lot of funds I don't put up the auto decor, I'll just choice to decorate one thing
