Open Neighborhood Rather than Open World
In TS3 the entire world was open and i think this contributed to difficulty running the game. In TS4 the active lot and a portion of the neighborhood within the world is open. I'm not sure if this can...

Funny, as I was about to say "Instead of those backdrops filling with fake cities, nobody would be b i t ching If these backdrops include mountains since it would make sense why it's unaccesible area. Also, providing a customization options to change the .jpg of that backdrops isn't too much to ask".
The ability to change backdrops, maybe even creating your own you mean? For me it wouldn't have been a real solution because for me backdrops really have to be something far far away in the game and a street like in my Sims 4 pic is something I want to be there in the game to visit, even if it means going through a loading screen first. But yes, that most certainly would have been so much better.
