I haven't seen an unclothed wolf's back completely, so I'm not quite sure yet, but I sort of think that the missing tail makes them a bit creepier and less furries. I guess the missing tail can also make their back look funny which I'm a bit worried about, because I don't want them to wear clothes.
If there was a tail I might prefer it to look similar to the real wolves' tails, i.e. not too long and fluffy, but perhaps a bit fluffy. I think I would prefer it to have some animations too. I probably wouldn't like it if it was just hanging there, but it depends on the design of the tail. I think I had a couple of cc tails in TS2 years ago and I didn't use them, because the design was very fluffy and thick and the lack of animations was annoying.
