The lack of snow depth in The Sims 4 Seasons is pretty unforgivable... BUT it's odd, because there actually are visual tradeoffs here. It wasn't just a copy and paste of The Sims 3 Seasons visually just without snow depth. They put a lot of detail into the aesthetics of seasons that have never been done before. The changing of terrain from season to season. The changing of non-tree plants from season to season. These two details are probably overlooked by a lot of simmers, but they are MAJOR. And I'll gladly take those details over even snow depth any day.
Winters in The Sims 4 actually look like winter, even without snow.

I'm not saying it was these details that made them not go for snow depth. I can't claim to know one way or the other. But honestly if it was, I'll take this over snow depth. It bothers me so much more to have green, flowery winters like in The Sims 2 and 3 than not having snow depth. But snow depth really should be there, though, come on EA.
