Stuff pack development is separate from EP and GP development, from what I understand. EPs and GPs take a lot longer. It's not really a case of just bumping out a stuff pack for something else, they all have their own development cycles. That's just what I've learned at some point on here.
I liked Generations though as I remember, in the TS3 days, it was basically panned by the community. I didn't participate in the community then but I remember disagreeing. Parenthood has done really well so maybe we'll see a continuation of that.
My unpopular opinion is that I'm in favor of development for all the life stages. I probably prefer the YAs and adults compared to some other players. I play with kids but I really prefer growing them up. That said, yes, I'd be interested in more content that connects the generations of a family and more for teens. I enjoy the toddlers and kids but while I'd like more for them to do, if the game were to become all about them, I'd get bored.
As for knitting, there are a lot of reasons that people wanted it. In my case, I just wanted an activity in the arts and crafts theme. I'd prefer pottery or a pack for all of the arts and crafts. I didn't love the direction of every vote but now I'm still interested as long as we can make some interesting stuff and have a new hobby. Some of us want hobbies that the different generations can do together which is still a generational theme.
I've said this before but I'm not holding onto any hope or plan for TS5 at this time. I still don't understand why people think the answer is starting over again with all of the same packs. Regarding online play, no, I'm not interested.
