Hi, I want to buy another expansion pack but I don't know which one to get. I'm torn between: Horse Ranch Growing Together High School Years Seasons Get To Work Discover University I'd appr...
I do not have Horse Ranch (yet) or High School Years (contemplating now after reading the comments/opinions here). imo :
Growing together - Being family orientated myself, I love this pack and expecially the infants up to teens. I do think all area's of CAS, interactions with, and build items for infants through toddler is very much lacking but if you have the Knitting pack you can knit infants/todder outfits which can stay in your inventory tho the first knit allows you to unlock it in CAS.
Seasons - I agree with elliebreton completely. The pack is attached to Oasis springs, Willow creek. For me personally, I enjoy walking in the rain/snow, so the rain/snow indoors doesn't bother me unless I want a screenshot or have a sim take a picture on the main or upper floors. No rain in basement or below. Other weather effects like lightening and wind have never occured indoors nor has this bug effected any appliances/electrical items unless I actually put them outside.
Get to work - I can make resturants with a menu I choose and it does not have to be "owned" by anyone! Most of mine are outdoor and with the menu being so large in my game(s) I have speciality resturants/ bars/ drive in, like a hamburger shack! Wish shakes were an option, but there are other alternatives I use from game packs like Discover University really does add food/drink content to this pack. I don't use the "cafe" type unless it is "owned" so that the owners can control employees. The game does not seem to like having the "cafe" in a "resturant" at the same time if unowned. That's the only drawback I can actually say about the this pack. You can also create "cafeteria" and bakeries with this pack. This pack has the Scientist career, which has a cloning machine that you get, that I can tell you will clone 8 or single serving meals/ drinks/ most of the collection items. I am currently still finding out what it will clone for my flea market.
Discover University: Really adds food content to Get to Work, I like that my sims do not have to live on campus. The whole point in going to college is to get a degree so you make more money when you begin a career that is linked to the degree you earned but it is really easy to make money without going to college. The college events were rabbit holes mostly including graduation which didn't go so well if I had 2 or more sims graduating at the same time. I think it is b/c the game puts in their inventory a degree and graduation picture. I find the CAS and Build to be awesome in this pack as well as, what it adds to the Get To Work pack.
