I enjoy it! And I use office furniture from it a lot, there are some good items. I also love the Photo Studio objects, that comes with GTW, but might be less interesting if you don't care much about family photo walls ;)
I did not complete any of the 3 active careers, but play them occasionally and like the diversity. They are good for creating specific characters, too.
Because you love active careers, I'd say there's no reason for you to sit on that fence!
