I think I will be watching this thread closely. As a player I don't tend to play with many super naturals. I'm interested in the vampires and I think they look really well done.
But I don't want my town taken over by vampires. If it is the case they take over like in the sims 3 then I will give this pack a miss.
I do agree though that vampires behaviour shouldn't be toned down, another thing I don't want is my sims to approach a vampire and start making friendly chit chat with not a care in the world. I want them to be scared and react! (Incidentally do we get any new traits?)
This is an issue though that I knew would come up. Some fans will want to buy the fans because they are supernatural fans, some will buy it because they are completionists and buy anything that EA releases, some will buy it knowing they aren't fans of the life state but want the new world. (Who honestly can say they are happy with the amount of space we have?) Some fans will buy it because they like the new cas items or build or buy mode objects but may not care for the life state.
Of course some fans may be a combination of the above. And thafs fine.
I get that by making vampires their own pack it means they could be more fleshed out. But I still can't agree with it because while it's clear the focus is vamps, it's more than that as a pack. We aren't paying 20 dollars just for a life state alone, they may be the focus but there are other features that may appeal to other players. I think there's nothing wrong with wanting the pack but not expecting the neighbourhood to become vampires.
