Orchids?

Question

So I spliced together whatever you need to create orchids, and I now have a spliced plant that claims to grow Snapdragons, Orchids and Lilies. The problem is that it never actually grows the orchids. I've had it forever and I still haven't gotten any from it, and I'm leaving it there to grow more but it isn't growing anything new. Is it usually this difficult to get orchids to grow? Do they not grow inside? Is it a bug?

What am I missing?

It’s not a bug, it is part of the new gardening system. Because the orchid is rare, there is less chance your plant will produce one each harvest. Unfortunately that chance appears to be very slim! A number of simmers are having the same experience.

I joined the forums to see if I could ask or find a post about a similar situation I'm having, except with dragon fruits! I have two spliced plants that are snapdragons/strawberries/dragon fruits, and I haven't been able to get any dragon fruits yet! Happy to see it's to balance the rarity of crops and not just a bug. ^^
