Origin Sale- Which Pack? :)

Not sure which one to recommend, I have both but I haven't played uni much yet. Strangerville has indeed great neighbourhood and CAS, but I don't think DU is doing bad either. Which bugs are you worried about? In my game I haven't encountered many except some routing issues with bikes.

Discover University is an amazing pack. I can recommend it 100%. It is my second favorite. My most favorite is Get Together.
Awesome B&B, awesome CAS and even more awesome gameplay. I really like it a lot. Briteschester is the most beautiful town IMO.

Discover University. Largish world, adds plenty of realistic, everday careers, and well, the whole University aspect of it that it's sold on. Not that I've really done much with it. My Sim went straight into the engineering career in this save.

Strangerville is mostly sold (and the whole world revolves around) its storyline. The world is small, and not much can be done with it. I got tired of the storyline, and even with cheats, you can't bulldoze the lab and replace it with whatever you want. That's a shame, as it's such a big lot. I do like the Southwestern flair the world has. The pack, to an extent, along with Get Famous, I mark down as one of my biggest mistakes.

I would recommend Discover University. The new careers are fun to play with and the pack adds some fun activities. There can be a few bugs but nothing too extreme. The CAS items are amazing as well. I had fun playing in the new world, lots of little hidden things to explore and have fun with. :)

Both Discover University and Strangerville are great packs and I use the CAS, items and World from them frequently. Strangerville has some of the best music in the Sims 4 too imo but overall DU has a lot more gameplay and replay value (Rightfully so as its an Expansion pack and not a gamepack). DU is not good for rotational play though, you basically need to only play your Uni household to get good grades and with the length of each semester it's best to turn aging off or put lifespans on long so you have enough time to do everything and not have everyone be elders by the time you're done.
Anyway I don't know what your budget looks like but you can always do the create a bundle as well and get both with a stuff pack.

Give Discover University a try although I have a slight nitpick. If you move your sim out of the household for university. If you have them visit the family, when you try to cook or bathe in your former home the family will give you a warning and if you continue you will be kicked out of the house. It doesn't matter if you have a high relationship or if your sims are married. They will kick you out unless you have the Always Welcome trait.

I must have different taste. During the discount period I bought Discover University , Strangerville, Get famous, Island Living and Realm of Magic.

I find discover university tedious, 3-4 weeks of repeating the same homework tasks. I do like the CAS stuff but the gameplay is meh. Similarly island living is pretty but gameplay wise not much to offer. strangerville and get famous are the packs I enjoy for their fun gameplay. Strangerville story is however way too short.

If you want to play your teens into YA going to University is great, though can be tedious if you want A's.
Strangerville has a quaint town with a lot of charm and the build/buy/cas is great. Story is a bit short but if you mix the story up with your sim's normal routines it can last longer.

I personally love Realm of Magic but I like the idea of having a sim who looks "normal" but knows magic, and many of the spells can be helpful around the house etc. The build/buy for that pack also is stunning.

For family stuff I also suggest Backyard stuff pack as it has a water slide and a few other items that are cute and fun.
Also Kids room stuff, especially the void critter game!

Stuff packs are not on discount though !
