Jungle Adventure
I actually own both Game Packs, and I've gotten to where I go to Selvadorada FAR MORE than Granite Falls.
With Outdoor Retreat being the FIRST of the Game Packs, EA was just learning. That being said, there's not much to do in Granite Falls but fish, hike, collect rocks (and other items), and tell ghost stories around the camp fire before going to bed. Sure, it's fun... as long as you don't stay more than two or three days. Any longer, then it'll become boring, since there's nothing else to really do, but repeat what you did yesterday.
With Jungle Adventure, EA is a little older and a little wiser. I honestly love the OPPORTUNITY to go explore the jungle, or just lay around the town and make friends with the locals.
I love the new dance that your Sims learn, as they learn more about Selvadoradians. There's also a few food and drink recipes that you can learn too.
NOW...
Let's talk about the jungle part. There are these "gateways" that teleport your Sims to different areas in the jungle. Each area has "doorways". Sometimes, a door maybe open for you to go thru. Sometimes that same door will be closed, and you'll have to come back on your next vacation to get thru. The ancient doorways aren't the only thing that change in Selvadorada. The ancient temple is another thing that "changes" (floorplans and traps and solutions). Throughout the jungle and the temple, you'll find dig spots for digging up relics. Some are real. Some are fakes.
Bear in mind, that the jungle is NO park and there ARE dangers to watch for.
I hope this will be helpful.
