Overtime & After Hours Work

The overtime is automatic, it changes the time from 7pm to 9pm.

My Sim works as a conservationist (level 7 now but he started off at a level 3 after completing Uni) and he can work during his "off" time when he's not at work or on a day that he's not scheduled. It doesn't give any extra pay but I think that it does give a little bit extra performance.

Will the overtime after hours work for the Scientist career?

Unfortunately no it’s just for the new career I heard.

My Sim acquired the Workaholic lifestyle and she doesn't get paid for working extra hours either. I'm assuming this is a bug.

I was initially inclined to think it a joke on the work attitudes; but there are no tool tips on the work tones, except the Work Hard and one more, forgot which one, but not new for the pack.
It could perhaps be an oversight.
