Paint from reference is weird
Do you like what "paint from reference" paintings look like in the game? I totally hate it! They look so grainy and low quality! I wish they were more like oil paintings or like paintings in Sims 2. ...

Not to sound mean, but as someone who studies different artstyles and techniques on what is almost a daily basis, these don't look like impressionistic art. Maybe someone who just started drawing/painting tried to copy the images you linked would create something like that. But not Sims that are shown to not only possess a large amount of skill, but also being able to create artistic masterpieces in every ( in game available ) style.
These paintings from reference lack texture, need a bit more contrast and are oversaturated. Like others said they look like a bunch of simstagram filters were slapped onto them. This has been bothering me since the option was added in the patch back then.
