I posted this in the "Things you Didn't Know" thread way back in 2017 when we didn't have portable easels. The part I've highlighted though is still relevant today and can help with painting exactly where and what you want to paint, or even taking photographs. I hope it helps! :)

EDIT: Uh, I didn't notice this was necro'ed from 2016. Opps! Well, it's still info Simmers might appreciate I guess even if this thread gets closed. *shrugs*

We don't have a portable easel except perhaps if there is a mod, but I don't/can't use any. So, when I read this tip in a post on the Writer's Lounge, it was like a hallelujah moment for me. This tip works for taking photographs too! Thank you so much AkramA , I hope you don't mind I reposted it here!

I have another one regarding photography to but this is with still-live painting. You can paint anywhere without having to move the easel anywhere or move the object next to the easel. You can just use the Ctrl 5 through 9 to save the position of the camera which you want the picture to be taken and then once you paint you can press the button 5 through 9 that correlates to the one you save and the camera will move there without you moving. This is great especially if you're going to paint the neighborhood. I like painting the waterfall in granite falls.
