Only for a short time. Your sim might paint one or two masterpieces this way, then they become confident. I have had a couple of my sims painted masterpieces this way, so I should know because I have been through it already.
I actually love that creating a masterpiece requires uncertainty and throwing yourself into the unknown (so you can't stay safe and feel totally confident about what you're doing). Never thought of this before :blush:
That's why when a sim is confident after having painted a masterpiece. That confident doesn't last.
