Partial packs

Hmmmm that could be an interesting idea. I like most of the gameplay in packs but I wanna be real that I only bought vampires for the clothing and furniture (why I bought it on sale as well).

I think it would be a terrible idea. The sims 3 kind of has this. The super overpriced store. I don’t want that. I am quite happy with the 3 types of packs model of ts4. Sure I wish the quality of EP and SP would be higher but so far GPs are great.

I agree that the Sims 3 store was awful. What I had in mind was a one-time purchase of CAS and Build items from the larger pack.

Orrrrr they could just give us a toggle like I’ve been asking for within Settings so we can turn off the occult life states altogether.

Yes, toggles would be great. I'm using occults in my current save but sometimes I don't want them in a specific save.

I think this would be great. They could even offer it long after the pack has run its course in sales, like one or two years. I wouldn't mind having the CAS and build/buy for packs I don't own.

If anything, maybe implementing a way to turn the gameplay on and off or something

I would totally do this for CAS and build stuff for Realm of Magic and Vampires. I agree with others on the toggle option, but I would prefer to save some money if I only got part of the pack and never used the main features.

It sounds like a cool idea, but I worry that EA would use this as an excuse to create a new type of DLC or even bring back the Sims Store, and then inflate the price. It's a slippery slope when multi million companies are involved unfortunately, especially ones that are notorious for using unethical selling practices in the past.

I'd like this. It's approx $26 Canadian for a game pack...so even if they said "$20" and I could have all the build/buy from vampires without the vampires haha!

I would be highly surprised if this was possible. For example what about objects with new gameplay, should they be included and functional , just decorative or only for the full version?

If such a feature existed I would have used it to get the BB and cas from get Famous but without the actual fame system and streaming equipment. And to get the world of brindleton Bay without the actual pets because I keep forgetting to add them to my Sim families.
