Patch and Base Game Update Discussion (New Patch released today 7/26)

My game just crashed in CAS and now it's downloading a second update.

Along with residential rentals on penthouses this is probably the fix I love most! Or one of them at least. So many good fixes in this one. 

There was a second game update (v1.108.318) released some minutes ago.

A little heads up, if you use the copy feature in CAS it will copy the item to ALL outfits in the chosen category. So if you have 5 outfits for hot weather, and you really like the new pants you've selected to be on one of them and you choose copy to hot weather, it will replace the bottoms on all five outfits, not just the first one. In other words, use with care and consideration. 

Did anyone else get a second patch update? I'm just wondering what may have needed to be updated after downloading the first patch. 

I guess not excited as it still doesn't work. Alt tab just made it quicker to open 2nd desktop.  I prefer the other where it just drops the game. But still an improvement

I was messing around in CAS a bit after updating. The thing about the copy/paste feature I would like updated is being able to copy to a specific number like formal - 2 or Party- 3. I think it needs a selection box with the numbers 1-5 since we can make 5 outfits for each category. I would want it mainly for giving my sims different hairstyles much easier. The copy/paste seems to be mainly for the first outfit categories of each section. You got to be careful or all your hairstyles will automatically change to whatever you put in first everyday. 

Apparently Base Game wedding is available if you have the MWS, so you can just do the usual weddings how they use to be. Nice.

I am so happy to see these patch notes 'I have been waiting for a fix for the top notch toddlers for ages. I am looking forward to round pools as well.  Being able to hide relationships in the relationship panel will be so useful.

I never expected the sims team to address things like base game weddings for wedding stories or residential rentals for penthouses. These felt like deliberate design choices instead of bugs. For the first time in years it really feels as if the sims team is listening to feedback. Thank you sims team. 

I unfortunately have to wait to update next week as I won't be able to use my laptop before then.
