Patch February 27 (Emergency Patch Has Released)

Everyone remember to back up your games and remove your mods folder for updating.

I also like to delete the localthumbcache file so it will refresh and then I repair my game after a patch just in case something didn't install right. ?

Just a reminder of issues scheduled to be resolved in Tuesday's patch.

I never would have thought this bug would annoy me so much, but it does. So, SO MUCH.

@Caerfinon I'm still on origin, & there is a box to click to make it so it doesnt automatically update; You would have to click update to update.
Is it possible to play offline on the new platform?
Currently no way I can get into game from Origins without going online

@LeucosiaX I have the EA app set to not update games automatically in settings so when I start it, it prompts me to upgrade Sims 4. At that point I can use the 3 bar menu in the upper left corner to take the EA app offline. It will then let me launch Sims 4 without upgrading. I haven't used Origin for a long long time and I'm not sure how its offline mode works.

My big hope that EA fixes the NPC service staff. If it doesn't get fixed, I'm not playing until it does. There is such a loss of gameplay for me if there aren't bartenders, wait staff or chefs. This is kind of a deal breaker for me, so I am crossing my fingers that this fix works.

@Caerfinon similar if not same. you need to be online to launch the game, and once it starts loading you can turn off the wifi.

What time is this expected to happen?
