Remove your mods folder.

Delete cache files: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/delete-cache-file

I'm a vanilla PC player & I always do a backup with my Saves & Trays from my PC to my One Touch Drive before a huge update comes up. I also turn off all automatic update & downloads in my EA Settings. And I play offline until it's safe. I also pay attention to what other simmers say on the Forums & YouTube. Then I wait until a day or 2 after the Emergency Patch is done & again what other simmers say after that before I go back online & update.

Thanks for this! I’m still away from home hopefully back next week because I miss my Sims. At least now I have lots to read. 😊
