Pet troubles

I haven't played with cats and dogs in a long time, I know there were problems with them a while back, spamming tasks and being needy and always wanting attention are two that come to mind. I thought though these issues had been fixed. So I adopted a puppy into my family.....

I've had nothing but problems with her from the day I got her. First the pet carrier got stuck and would disappear on it's own. Then she wanted attention all the time, even interrupting tasks I had already set my sims so they would cancel everything to pet her. Crazy spamming the task bar right off the top of the screen.
She walks around moping a lot of the time even when I have given her lots of attention and when I let her out she does not come back when I call her. I had to delete her in CAS because she just kept running around the neighbourhood in circles and ignored all the calls back.

The thing is I use mods. MCCC, road to fame and one I can't mention plus some little fixes mods as well as a bit of cc.

I am wondering if they fixed the pets and one of my mods have broke it or if they haven't fixed it. I will if need be remove all mods and reintroduce them one at a time, just wanted to save myself a bit of time if it's still broken anyway.

    My pet cat, Mirrin, is stuck on top of the kitchen counter, and my sim can't seem to get her down. Is there any way I can move her? I've tried build mode.

    There is a cheat that will allow you to get them moving again.

    I'm not sure if you first need to enter the testingcheats on the cheat, but I mentioned if you do, but I don't think you need it for this one.

    Anyways open up the cheat bar and type in this

    resetsim NameOfSim

    Then hit enter.

    Where I wrote NameOfSim, just type in the name of the sim that is stuck, both first and last name if they have one.


    Now if for some odd reason it doesn't work, because on a very rare time, I've had this issue, just hit m on your keyboard, and send your sim to another location. Once they get back home, those stuck will be unstuck.

    They did fix the spamming from pets in a patch, but I do still get it a little, but it's not nearly as bad as it was before.

    I've had this happen before in a couple of the apartments. Resetting didn't work for me, so I went into build mode and just moved the counters around until the cat teleportated to the ground. So, if resetting doesn't work for you, hopefully this will.

    If resetting doesn't work, I'll give this a go. I have to get her down, her mood is in the red now!

    Resetting and moving the counters didn't work at all. So I sent Mirrin to the house next door then sent her back home. The first thing she did when she went home was basically run toward her litter tray, the poor thing lol Btw, how do you get them to use the cat house and scratching posts?
