Petition: Please add self-employment options and/or retail & restaurant ownership!
Dear SimGurus (can I tag anyone for this kind of stuff?), please add self-employment options in TS4. Or, at the very least, please finally list retail & restaurant owner as actual jobs in the career panel (if there's a reason why self-employment hasn't been added yet, i.e. specific coding issues). It's just so unnerving that retail & restaurant owners are unemployed. It makes no sense :'(
For more standard self-employment: I honestly don't care if this comes with any specific goals or whatever, actually I'd rather it doesn't. It's already ok with me if we can click on the pc, select self-employed under careers and then pick an area (freelance programmer, gardener, painter, guitarist / any musician, writer, etc.), just so that this sim is recognized as "self-employed gardener" instead of unemployed. It doesn't matter if there's no goals / special screen for it under careers other than this generic description. I don't really need to progress in the career anyway, even if it could certainly be nice under certain circumstances. I really just want my sim to be recognized as a hard-working sim by other sims when they're making thousands writing books or painting a day ... it's weird.
It'd be great to get some feedback on this (whether this is at all possible, or why it isn't). If there's already a petition for this (couldn't find it), feel free to link them or something :)
ETA: Right, it'd be nice if those simmers who'd also like this feature back (even if only in part) could just add a comment saying "signed" to support the cause. If anyone does anyway ;)
