The Pet's expansion is great & the Dogs & Cats are adorable <3 As far as community lots (without a dog/cat trait), they just continue to show up, walking into clubs, across dance floors, gyms, etc. At first, it was pretty funny & I got a few laughs from it. But after playing for several hours, it got old pretty quick. And it makes Dog/Cat hangout traits rather useless and moot, since they are just randomly showing up at community lots without any Pet Lot traits. I'm enjoying the expansion, using a new game/play-through & can't wait to breed some kitties and dogs. But some fine tuning to Community Lots would be nice. :wink:

Agreed! I did not think it funny at first, I thought good grief! Nobody put a restriction on pets in bars. (Which is a pretty funny statement by itself. :D)Hopefully some sort of restriction will be included in a patch, which is possible.

I agree. Having pets invade all the community lots is a bit much. I hope they can add a pet free lot trait to remove them from lots as we choose.

I'd like to see some sort of pet free lot trait as well. As much as I love pets, this was one thing that I don't like. Especially in TS3, where pets would destroy the joint and you'd end up with sims constantly thinking about all the chewed/scratched furniture :/

There are 3 places for animals: home, outdoors, the vet. The only animals I've ever seen at a RL community lot are service dogs. That's how it should be here.

They do indeed show up, until that is addressed then what I suggest doing is surrounding the areas you don't want pets to wander with the tiny fence that sims can walk over. Pretty sure pets can't cross this themselves so it should keep your lot pet free and they'll just remain outdoors. So long as this hasn't changed since I last heard about it.

@Dannydanbo I did find them much much later & wondered if that was the purpose of the rugs. I plan on placing them to see if that is the case. Thank you for sharing this.

They're just decorative. Don't know if there are cat/dog-repellent objects like that sign in Unleashed, but it hasn't been a huge issue in my game yet.

I don't think it's that hard to make that specific rug disallow all pets. At least when it comes to gender-specific restroom doors, Sims know which door they can't go through to use the public restroom.
