Pets Cull the household? (Bug that's never been repaired?)

Is this supposed to happen? Cats and dogs will kill babies? I mean cull them in this case. I thought animals were supposed to be separate from people. I was quite surprised to see this. I was mod...

Pet still count towards the 8 person household limit. Always have. Sorry about your little ones.
I think deaderpool has some instructions on how to add family members and manage households over 8 Sims.
