In the Sims 3 I always thought it was cute that he would hug the pet and the pet looked very happy to go with the Grim Reaper. This one just looks like he whacks the animal with his scythe. xD I don't really care, to be honest. Since they're not real pets, I don't get sad when they die and I also don't really care how their death animation looks, but it's definitely something I noticed.
