Plans for the Sulani lots?

I have a few ideas:
1. Small beach in the "richer" area: Nudist Beach with a bar.
2. 40 x 30 beach lot across from the shipwreck lot: My starter lot.
3. The small stilted house in the rich area: Small restaurant.
4. The modern house up in the corner: Local Historical Archive (aka Library).
5. The Volcano house: The home of Mr Bean. He is in all my games.
6. The Shipwreck: The home of a Pirate Vampire Sim.

    In the town proper:

    20x20 will be a tourist information center/library
30x20 to the right of the beach will be a restaurant/local diner
I plan on leaving the main public beach where it is and may revise it for what I think it should be for a poor island nation.
(undecided about the rest in that area until I see them in Live mode)

    Volcano Island:

30x20 by the volcano will be a tourist area/museum for hikers
50x50 "shipwreck" lot will likely be a park/picnic area for tourists so that they can explore the caves and see the waterfall and enjoy their day on that island.
40x30 stand alone beach island may be a nudist camp/beach. (not sure yet)

    Lani St. Taz

50x50 will be a very ritzy B&B for my sims living in other worlds to vacation at.
40x30 land lot to the left of it may be a very lush grounds for a high end restaurant for tourists.

That's where I am so far. I can't decide anything really and truly until I see the actual lots in game and the views from them.

But so far, those seem the best for those lots for MY sims world. (and the sims I play)

Oooo this is getting my brain running for sure. I have never been inspired to build community lots but this pack gives me some serious inspiration. I’m really excited to get started. Not all in one save but I state where it changes below. I’m really excited to get my hands on this pack.

    In the town neighborhood:
-the 20x20 lot: might do a nice but small community center (library lot) with some computers, bookshelves, and chess tables.

-the 20x30 lot next to the beach: a seafood restaurant/diner that goes out over the water with all glass on the back of it for beautiful island views.

    The volcano island:
-the 40x30 island lot: my rags to riches home where she will live off the grid by fishing and collecting items.

-the shipwreck lot: I may turn that into a shipwreck bar or something I’m not sure yet.

Lani St. Taz: (for a separate save where my sims will only visit)

-the 30x20 lot: a spa with an outdoor yoga studio overlooking the water. (May add this to all saves I just like the idea ?).

-the 50x50 lot: a large resort like lot with little bungalows or something alone those lines for sims to vacation at. Not sure exactly on this yet.
  • I have plans to drop a lighthouse restaurant on one of those empty lots on the water.
  • So far a spa/resort lot and possibly recreating a lot I built in The Sims 3. I took the layout from another builder. Shared on my blog with approval and credit to the original builder of course.

  • Well, we definitely need JuiceNet Cafe from H2O :D
  • I'm gonna have one beach in every district: a family beach for the lower right one, a regular beach for the upper left one and a nudist beach for the volcano island. Also I'm thinking about remodeling the bar, adding a museum, a seafood restaurant and a creativity center for raising all of my sims skills. Plus I'll be doing two "hotels", one expensive and one affordable.
  • I was really struggling with how to fit everything I wanted into the number of lots available (without tearing down any prebuilds, which look nice from what I can tell so far). But I came up with a solution to incorporate a few different things into one space, and I honestly kind of love it:

I'm going to create an artists colony on the 50x50 lot. It will be a retail lot with an art gallery in a larger thatched bungalow on one end of the strand. But on the other end, I'm going to create a boardwalk extending out into the ocean, with 4-6 small thatched bungalows on stilts over the water, reminiscent of Bora Bora/Tahiti. Either on the beach, or at the end of that board walk, a medium-sized cabana with spa amenities (maybe just a massage table and a nail chair), open to the water. Visitors to the gallery can "rent" the bungalows and stay overnight, or for a few days.

Along the beach in between, there will be both easels (near the gallery) and yoga mats (near the bungalows) on the beach.

This way, I can have a hybrid art gallery owned by a local Sulani artist (for selling local landscapes, with maybe a small area for seashells and underwater photos), a quasi-resort, and a spa, all on the same beach.

I'm plotting on making 2 different game files for Sulani.

One file would be a Legacy/Apocalypse mash up where I plan on deleting all the lots and then have each generation move into a lot to build their own home.

Other file, the world will stay intact but the 40x30 lot near the volcano island will be used for my playable sim(s) and a pier will be built on the 50x50 lot for boats.
  • I'm a bit late in this forum but I just want to share what I've essentially done for Sulani in almost all of my casual saves. I kept all of the pre-made lots, but added my own twist with LittleMsSam's live-in business mod. It made sense to me that the Sulani townsfolks are self-sustaining, so all of them have a type of business in their house instead of building new modern ones:

    1. The chieftain's villa is now a live-in daycare and a cultural center, where during daytime toddlers will be sent there because their parents are away at work. The cultural center thing is basically an open air library/museum/tattoo place where new young adults will get their tats ceremoniously done by Keala or Lia.

    2. The kin-ship also functions as a bar and gathering place, so anyone can get tips and learn from Makoa himself on how to best preserve the island or about sailing. There's also a mic and guitar for both Duane and Nani to show off their skills, lol.

    3. The lagoon look is a family restaurant instead of a house; like, what kind of town doesn't have at least one place serving up local dishes to tourists? The location (next to the beach) was also a deal-breaker for me, because people usually get hungry after a few hours of playing sand.

    4. Tangled Flat as a motel! with the creepy crawlies and haunted traits! and some tombstones to really get the groove going. That's where my non-sulani sims sleep in during their visit to the island.

    5. the beaches and sand bar are still the same, except the bar is actually a night club.

    6. The Kahananuis, being ambitious entrepeneurs, own a live-in shop where they sell woodcrafts and some beach clothing. I have no other explanation other than their home has the 'rich and culturally fashionable' feel to it.

    7. The Ngatas own a gym in their house. People come in to get ripped and shower in the open air. fun times.

    8. The Pier Perfection is home to my sulani sims, which is also a live-in nightclub during nighttime.

    9. Sand Simoleon Beach is now Sand Simoleon Spa; I renovated this lot the most, adding massge beds, chairs, sauna, and places for zenness in overall.

    10. The Saphhire shore is a wedding park in one save, and an empty beach in the rest. I just don't know what to do with it.

    11. Caldera camp is home for some npc sims which I forced to be vets. I added a basement for their basic furnitures and used the whole ground floor as a run-down vet clinic area, where sick pets go - even the wild ones

    12. Key point is now known as Obsidian Splay thanks to the latest live build objects cheat. I built a steven universe house there but never really bothered to live in it
