Plantsims in The Sims 4 are Depressing

What I find fascinating is the idea that it is never too late to change / revamp / update stuff in the game. Between patches, updates, and DLC that we pay for the game constantly updates. They change stuff all the time.

Honestly an update to something like this is never completely out of the question. It's just unlikely. I feel that lifestates were not as important in TS4 as they were in previous games.

I agree. The only good lifestates are vampires and spellcasters and that's because they have a whole pack dedicated to them. Every other lifestate is really basic and plantsims are just the worst example.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I mean I don't think I can actually get PlantSims on console without using the ice cream from Cool Kitchen Stuff.

Aliens are kind of meh. They do have some uniqueness but still kinda tame.

Vampires seem like they were an awesome planned out experience (I have yet to play them yet though)

Mermaids.... I hear things.

Spellcaster is pretty good but at the same time ... They are still just human lol.

Ghost technically is a lifestate too but again I haven't played as them and they were also a free update to the base game.

I don't know if an update in a paying pack is the way to go. Then there would be 2 kinds of plantsims depending on the packs people own. Just think of how this would work with the Gallery, you download a plantsim just to notice in game that this sim is the kind of plantsim your game can't handle. I think strangerville was a missed opportunity. With all the strange plants in that pack it would have tied in nicely with the plantsims.

Wouldn’t it say that you need the pack? They would also be visibly different from the temporary version.

I meant rework the plantsims for everyone and simultaneously make it so they can tie in with the story for those that have strangerville. But still one version of plantsims for everyone. With the most important change being plantsims as a permanent state

I'm currently setting up a save where I use plant sims a bit differently. The idea is that my sim has tasted and become addicted to the forbidden fruit. He will do anything to get his hands on it, too bad only celebrities have access to the magical tree. Another way would be getting to know the beautiful green aliens who are growing the fruits in their greenhouse, but they wont let just anyone harvest. My sim will have to resort to eating the Plant Matter ice cream but the effects of that are much milder and don't fully satisfy his craving for greenness. I will have to see how he copes with the challenge and likely wont allow him to grow a tree of his own.

I really wish they will rework the lifestates they introduced in the game. Not just Plantsims but also ghosts. Both of them are boring and dosen't have almost something unique to them aside from their looks.

EA (gurus) stated on twitter (for the release of Strangerville) that they were done with the plantsims and would not revamp them for now.
This is disheartening.

I know Plantsims were a free patch and are a temporary lifestate but it would be nice to have just a little more to them. Even on a Sims 1level of depth.

Now we have Eco Lifestyle on the Horizon, I really hope they would do Something about the plantsims. Even a new feature or abilities, or even small revamp in the base game. If noen of that happens, then they are essentially forgotten

Hello, I've never seen a plant sim in my game. How do you get them? (have placed the magic bean stumps but nothing).
I like the idea of a game pack featuring these. Nature spirits perhaps?
