Platforms are difficult!
The gamechangers made it look so easy. I can put a platform in a room but as soon as I let go of the platform tool I can't select the platform again, the whole building goes up and down on a foundation.

another problem is leaking when putting up wall paper or any other wall covering. I have to do them individually or they leak from outside to inside. has anyone else noticed see the first pic, that you cant place anything next to a platform from another room. I had to use my ALT key to put the fridge there.
You can use the custom room tool to define your living room as a room. It's the wall tool that let's you go from point to point. Sometimes what looks like a wall is actually a stand alone room that it's not part of the actual room you're seeing."feetinstockings;c-17720486" wrote:

Use the wall tool and build all the walls around the outside of the building in one drag, don't use the arrows to slide the walls over to connect them. You might have to put doors, windows, etc back on but it should then register as a room.- I wish the snow would vanish in build mode. I can't use glass roof or windows which are my normal trick to see what I am doing under the roof space or in tight spaces.

Is that a mod? If so I am not adding mods back quite yet.
Nope. There is a weather machine in game.- I haven't played for so long... I am not sure I've actually played properly since weather was added, other than to test any new building tools!

1. Your walls aren’t all the way up
2. You have to remove the roof to see the ceiling and the yellow outline- They are definitely glitchy (I think the patch is lagging my game which doesn't help matters) but I am having so much fun finally finishing/starting again with my Croft Manor build.Spoilerhttps://i.imgur.com/BmSyP5o.png

As much as I adore this update to build mode I still can’t help but feel they need to add more! Curved and spiral staircases being one of the many, many things I can think of.
