- My simming consists of one third gameplay, two thirds storytelling (blogging and acting out scenes in game), and I think this is weird. Playing the game normally without story is not strange at all.
@Daephene I agree with the expectations thing! There's still a lot I do not blog about, because it would require recounting to my followers what sim x said to sim y's cousin two real life years ago to understand why a particular scene is funny to me. What I blog is already shortened and edited, not the real story that I write for myself. And I'm just a small "I blog what I feel like" blog, don't want to imagine what it's like for the popular ones. Probably a workload compareable to a part-time job. - SimsFan199220155 years agoSeasoned VeteranI've never blogged my stories. I just play for me. I take pictures occasionally but that's it.
- SimmerGeorge5 years agoSeasoned AceI never plan out stories, I usually create some weird sims and see where the game takes them? I still have a plan not everything is random but I like to have the game take over and create something unexpected. I use tons of mods for that.

I have 157 hours on Sims 4 an d I sometimes have a 'plot' but I don't really blog (I tried don't have the attention span) or write about my sim and just play lol is that weird?
No, it doesnt make you weird at all. I do the same thing with some saves, others have no plot and still other saves are based totally on my Nanowrimo stories and fanfics I write for myself.
Besides, whats weird anymore these days? ?♀️?- I do have a vague plan when I play I just don't blog
- My gameplay was a lot more documented for Sims 2 and 3. I kept meticulous notes and charts on all my families. Took and posted loads of photos. I'm over that now and just want to spontaneously play and enjoy the game.
- OldeSimsFan5 years agoSeasoned AceFor me the problem is no in game story vehicle. TS2 has an album attached to each household for screenshots to go into - no mass pot like 4. Lots of room for captions, so telling a graphic novel type story is easy. Impossible with 4.
- DonroaAkashu5 years agoSeasoned AceI only play for myself.
I see a lot of posters talk about stories, and posting about their gameplay, on this forum and on Youtube. That does not mean everyone does.
I rarely see anyone talk about stories they have read. - HaneulFier5 years agoSeasoned AceI have a blog, but most people definitely don't. There are millions of players. Most people just play the game.
- simsimsere5 years agoSeasoned AceI blog but I'm like a super lazy blogger. I write maybe three stories in a year. I still enjoy coming up with stories every time I play.
