Playing two sims in acting career

I am currently playing two male roommates in the acting career. I think it's too much of a good thing and I'm seeing the same gigs so far. One is at level 4 and the other is at level 3. I am thinking I don't want to get too burned out on this EP too fast.

For those playing two active sims in the acting career...do you like it? I'm thinking of switching careers for one of them and my story is that "acting wasn't for him".

thoughts?

  • My test sim is exclusively doing historical period drama. I'll still have everything else to do in my main save.
I'm keeping everything comedy related for Johnny Zest, and that won't even cover everything I've left out.
Although I'll really miss making period appropriate costumes, I might revisit that path too.

Basically, acting is a lot of fun when you get a tiny bit involved, even with several sims.
If the gig is for a tv series, then I'll do it several times. That could be boring but I'm having too much fun to notice.
  • I have a couple who are both in the acting career and it was a bit overwhelming at first since the auditions and stuff were at the same time or same day. I decided to have them rotate so that their gigs and auditions would be on opposite days or opposite times and that helped a little. I now have my girl sim taking a break to get pregnant while the male sim will continue on.
  • @aaronrulz - I'm playing rotational with two families. My first family....she had had the connections trait...& started in acting level 4, so she's able to get the higher gigs. My other family, my Sim started out in level 1....so I'm not really seeing the same gigs twice.
I guess kind of not 100% the same since they're not in the same house....but I was still worried I might get burnt out, playing rotational with two Sims in acting career....but so far I haven't had the same twice. I probably will though, once the lower level actor reaches to where my other Sim is.

    Have you tried this:
On Monday, have BOB get an audition which will require BOB to go at 9 AM on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, while BOB is at his audition, have JANE get an audition which will require JANE to go at 9 AM on Wednesday.
If BOB got his audition, he will go to his gig at noon on Wednesday after JANE gets back from her audition.
After BOB gets home from his gig, get a new audition for Thursday.
If JANE got her audition, she will go to her gig at noon on Thursday.
When JANE gets home on Thursday, have her book another audition for Friday while BOB is at his gig.

Basically, just stagger their work schedules.

yup, I thought of this after I decided to have one of them quit the acting career to be a "YouTuber". But I'll remember for next time!! I'm thinking of doing an acting challenge and have 8 sims in a house all in the acting career to see who reaches the top the fastest.

    Thanks!

Wow! That should keep you busy. I have a hard enough time with my one actor sim. He's pretty famous now and lives with three roommates and two of them have started dressing like him which makes it confusing at times.

haha ! Mine aren't trend setters yet. Waiting for that one!
  • What I did with my two acting sims is I have them audition and work on different days. So one will audition Monday then work Tuesday. The other will audition Tuesday and work Wednesday. So that way I wont have to have them work on the same day.
