Playing while avoiding the ageing bug is very anxiety inducing

This bug is one of the reasons I am refusing to download the update. I have to keep switching to offline mode because Origin is trying to force the update upon me any time I open it. My other reason is that my mods will break and I need them in order to play the way I like so I want to wait until some more time has passed, to allow for mod updates and post-patch bug fixes.
