I am the very same way. I won't (and don't need to) play my own self, as I'm very satisfied with how my life has and is turning out. Besides, the game can be unpredictable and one doesn't always get the outcome one seeks.
Besides all that, I am tormented with motion-sickness. I don't play other games from the first-person perspective, as it makes me dizzy and consequently, nauseous.
