Plead for life

If you plead for an elderly sims life when they die, and Grim Reaper grants your request, how much longer will they live ?

  • When they are brought back they should be at the beginning of their life stage. As long as something doesn't kill them, they should live their full life stage.

Short would be 5 plus days.
Normal would be 10 plus days.
Long would be 40 plus days.

    ~~Edit~~
It seems that I gave a bit of wrong information. After further looking into this if an elder is brought back by the grim reaper they will only get one more day to live and then they will die again.

I haven't confirmed this, but word is if you have at least a 5 in mischief you can use a voodoo doll on Grimy and he'll lose the ability to reap you. Not sure if it's forever, but it sounds like it.
  • By default, it's not even a day. As soon as you travel with the Sim or reload the household, he'll die again.

It's not really work it to plead for the life of an elder dying of old age. They only live another day or so. If they are dying or something other than old age they continue with their normal life cycle.
  • It would be such an easy fix, I've done it with my moredeathsurprise mod (MM-19 Misc Mods: https://deichschafblog.de/bienchen/sonstige-mods-misc-mods/)

Sometimes I feel sorry that EA hardly ever improves on existing features.

Just remember the gardening overhaul where we lost 5 levels of gardening quality (reduction to 5 instead of 10). And there still is coding for fruit/vegetable decay in the game but instead of getting that, they deprived us of 5 levels and left gardening to be a very rare thing. Sorry for the off topic.
  • Does anyone else has this infuriating thing that when a single parent dies and the child SUCCESSFULLY pleads with the reaper it still ends up with a game over. Like. You cannot plead with the reaper until the dead sim has been 'reaped' aka is properly dead but then the game doesn't give the resurrected sim time to be alive again before it decides that there is a child living alone because it's sole caretaker died even though the pleading had been successful so the parent sim is actually still alive.
  • After the elder is brought back to life, you could use a potion of youth to reset their full elder life-span.

    Unfortunately that's a programing glitch.
