Please give tea some love

Agreed! Functional tea sets in the game would be fantastic.

Geeze, ModerateOsprey, ya kinda got me wishing the Snowy Escape pack had included elements of a Japanese Tea ceremony or that there was a kit involving something akin to this Buddhist Tea House in the Metro Atlanta area. You also have me remembering the two dames that introduced me to those two things and the circumstances of my parting of ways with the both of them. I am not sure how I feel about this...

We are getting a teapot in Cottage Living. As the world is inspired by UK and they are known for drinking tea, hope this pot is finally functional.

We have the tea brewer in the game and I expect everyone today uses mugs as hardly anybody in the UK buys tea sets any more. They are an unwanted lot in auctions, except for Clarice Cliff ones.

I never use the coffee maker anyway as it is a pest in the game when the Sims keep going to it and will not go to bed to sleep properly.

Indeed, I drink tea from a mug most of the time, but occasionally I'll brew a big pot, especially in the good old days when you could have friends round. The game does well here as the sims get a mug of tea with the existing teamaker rather than the fuss of a cup and saucer and all that.

My sims wash their pots between uses. :lol:

One pot for tea, which will heavily stain over time and will therefore leech tea flavour into coffee.

As for coffee - best stored in a temperature controlled bunker with strict handling procedures in case of possible contamination of anything tea related.

would also be nice in the game to be able to drink a nice cup of tea with sims boiling some water on the stove and then making himself a cup of tea black or with a bit of milk even herbal teas depending on what your sims wents to drink

What does coffee give you? Well there is energised I guess, so your sims can never sit still without running out of the door, lying on the floor and doing some other generally antisocial stuff.

Okay, but those emotions don't do anything particularly worthwhile, beyond minor skill boosts and reskinned interaction names.

If they're gonna add new moodlets, they really need to make the emotions more useful, first, IMO.

Tea can provide six moodlets

Therefore tea is more powerful in game in terms of choice of buffs.

Whether moodlets are adding worthwhile gameplay is a matter of opinion and not relevant to the topic.

I wouldn't be surprised if a TS3 like tea set turned up in a Kit pack.
It would be perfect for a pack like Cottage Living. It should have come with Cottage Living. :p

My Sims definitely need proper teapots and teas sets. Both functional and to display. <3
