Please Improve Genetics

At the moment the only thing sims inherit from their parents are hair color, eye color, skin tone, facial features, and body shapes. Can this please be expanded to face details and teeth. Why can't they get freckles or crooked teeth from one or both parents!! Sometimes babies won't even inherit parents skin tones, such as red and grays that vampires may have. These are such a small things that would be nice if they'd improve. :)
  • I totally agree! it would be really nice if kids could inherit freckles and teeth!
  • I agree, @crazycat_135 Those are the types of things that would add such a nice touch to the game.

    Since walk styles were originally supposed to be a thing, it would be cool if Sims sometimes inherited their parents walk styles as well. At least, it would be nice if they could inherit the less exaggerated walk styles.

    Habits and personal tells/twitches are also something that I wish that the Sims could have that could be passed onto the kiddies.
  • Genetics are hit and miss in this game. Often times the child would look like a copy of one of the parents and have nothing from the other. As the OP says, "smaller" features such as freckles are completely ignored by the game genetics, which is a shame. It also often does weird combinations that are extremely unusual irl. Specifically with interracial couples where the child would pick up for example just the blonde hair and bright blue eyes of the father and the rest would be a copy of the very dark skinned mother. Yes, this can happen irl, but it is very rare and so should be in the game.
    And when it comes to Vampires and Aliens, is even worse.

    It is a shame because on the rare occasion where it works, it works pretty well.
    I once had Bella Goth and Bob Pancakes have a kid together and they had twins. You can tell that they both have a lot of their mother and a lot of their father:

    @AlbaWaterhouse Wow! they look amazing!

    I know, right? I didn't touch anything (not even the eyebrows), just added the make-up and such. I really find them the best example of how genetics should always work in the game. It doesn't happen very often :D
    Their last name is also a blend of both parents: Gothcakes :)
