I am going to say, the world does look absolutely gorgeous from the videos I’ve now seen. It’s a shame it’s not more interactive and mainly set dressing, but it’s really really pretty.
I agree it looks pretty (the world) but it looks like there aren't many actual playable lots
There aren’t ): Even where you buy lightsabers and stuff is just a Pop-up screen.
That’s the sad part too. Lightsaber is a symbol. It’s something you construct & go on an adventure(s) for when you go find these crystals, the hilt blade etc. but there’s not even that kind of depth. For something as different as this I would have expected more"KaeChan2089;c-17643561" wrote:

TS4 is beautiful ROM's world is breathtaking ...but that's all it's just pretty but no meat.
I bought ROM without watching or seeing anything about it because I wanted spellcasters so bad (I miss the supernatural expansion so much) and well, I don’t know what I expected but that definitely wasn’t it.- GalacticGal5 years agoLegend

omg the fact the aliens are just masks...queue up the townies wearing alien masks with their already heinous outfits
Reminds me of the 'bears' from Outdoor Retreat. I think I may just save my money on this one, too. - SAEldarin5 years agoNew AceI don't usually watch any reviews, because I end up deciding there's enough offered in the pack to buy it. But with this SW pack, meh. Can I say, I'm trying to keep an open mind?
Wasn't impressed with CAS. I love the build items (a lot can be used for many of my story purposes totally unrelated to Star Wars). The world looks great -- for a Disney-style themed "experience." But, it appears it's just a rinse-and-repeat a la Realm of Magic. So many buildings that are just shells that you can't enter (even in rabbit hole fashion, which I detest, but still...that'd at least be something).
Edited to add: Plumbella is showing how the storyline progresses -- she says it's "repetitive," which is exactly what I feared. Seems like Strangerville reskinned: "click this," "go here," "click this," and repeat. smh
Just one question to all of you simmers who were so pumped for this Star Wars pack: why? - I didn't expect the world to be more than a set since, well, the park is exactly like that, looks pretty, most things cordoned off, but I really expected gameplay to be more like Into The Future. Eh, guess not.
Pick up phone change galaxy ? Base camp not even a physical place ? Why.
Do we even get random encounters, based on the lack of literally anything new gameplay-wise, I'm gonna say no. Random encounters are a big part of the park atmosphere though.
If all that pack was going to be was advertisement for Galaxy's Edge, at least go all in, add Rey randomly hiding behind trash cans. - PaNDiee5 years agoNew AceI didn't know there are no lots in batuu..Or am I mistaken? I saw the video.. No lots.. only 3 areas

Vixella- Looks like it's exactly as I feared lol Another Realm of Magic. Gorgeous surroundings you can't interact with.
Disappointed, but not surprised, I expected it. There's still a few things I'll get enjoyment from, but now I'm in less of a rush.
I hope hope hope for the sake of everyone that when they finally give us a winter activities and a farming pack and werewolves and cars and bands, and just whatever else they do next, that they put a little more muscle into it. If they throw in gorgeous stables with pretty horses that you can merely look at or rabbit hole skiing idk, I fear what'll happen. (Wouldn't be surprised if children were unable to ski lol)
If there's still time to think on this for whatever you're working on, team, please bear in mind. "SAEldarin;c-17643601" wrote:

Just one question to all of you simmers who were so pumped for this Star Wars pack: why?
I was pumped but also cautious. Pumped because of the general theme. I wanted sci-fi, I like Star Wars, I don't mind brand collabs/advertisement, I'm not a 'purist' -- all I want for it is to be fun. And it could have been. Gameplay trailers are never enlightening for me anyway, so up until the second trailer I was still hoping it would be. Seeing the videos on youtube now gives me a better idea and I was right to be cautious because it's exactly what I feared it could be. My disappointment has nothing to do with the theme they chose or with it being an advertisement. I'm glad they chose a theme I find interesting. Just wish they executed it better.- Joanne_Snow5 years agoLegend

This one honestly baffles me the most. They managed to create base camps in TS3 just fine, why not here?!
