Possible Bug: Mannequins and Continuation of Time

The issue I've noticed is Sims are becoming mannequins not an actual mannequin, but all they do is stand around and time is going along. I've complained so much about the game lagging and I literally ...

My game used to run super well without any lagging. Yesterday i've tried to use mccc mod and the game started to lag. My sims wouldn't stand for hours but they did lag. And my laptop got super hot! I've deleted the mod and my game is back to normal: no lag at all, running super smooth now. Maybe that's why there's no official story progression. It'ld most probably fry our computers... i really want story progression, but with this issue i prefer to live without it.
