Possible Bug: Mannequins and Continuation of Time

I have a sim hang occasionally. Not seen it often though, but I have been mostly building lately. When it happens, I might pause the game and it seems certain "back stage operations" pass quicker. My impression is that this is about the sim being "called" by either another sim or an object that wants to attract the sim. The attempt will expire after so and so many seconds. If so, it's obviously something not working as intended, hope it gets fixed although I don't find it game breaking.
