Possible problems with switching away from Origin...

Here's the situation: Me, my mom, my dad, and my sister all play the sims using the same origin account. We always have, it works fine for us barring having to kick each other off to access the gallery. How is this meant to work with the new EA app we'll have to use later this year? I haven't seen anyone mentioning this. Are we going to have to buy the packs again for each one of us or is there a workaround?

If this is in the wrong place I'm sorry, but I need an answer to this problem.

  • All of your purchased EA content automatically moves to the EA Desktop App. I have TS4 with all DLC, The Sims Medieval, and TS3 with 2 dlc, and every single bit of it ported over seamlessly. So no, you won't have to repurchase the EA content you already own, and your login stays the same so you all should be able to continue sharing the account. In fact, the only thing I have noticed as different is that the option to purchase dlc as gifts seems to no longer exist.

Thank you so much, I can rest easy now. I'll let them know.
