That's pretty much where I'm coming from too. Those specific worlds arrived with a pretty specific cultural identity and losing it seems a travesty as it turns them into just "more of the same". Some replies here are alluding to it being about "appearances" but "culture" is about far more than that and, imo, it adds to those worlds that they have that cultural identity.
