Problem Joining Wildfangs

If Rory isn't there, I'd download one from the Gallery long enough to get your sim into the group. Rory and Lou are the only two Wildfangs at the start. I don't know if there's a way to get Lou to Alpha status if Rory is no longer there.

I have not yet had it happen that one of the packs lacks an alpha, so I have not tested this personally, but there's an option built into the hangouts which allows a pack member to claim alpha status if a pack currently has no alpha. If the dad becomes alpha by this method, assuming it works as it should, he will be able to invite his son into the pack with no trials needed. (He can also invite any other sim to become a friend of the pack, whether or not they are a werewolf, which is not a bad idea when it comes to non-werewolf spouses.)

One thing I did find out recently is that a teenager can become the alpha of a pack, even if the current alpha is an adult. While they cannot spar for it, due to age restrictions on that, they can still engage in an epic tug of war over it.

When it comes to the Wildfangs, teenagers have an enormous advantage as pack members, as skill gained while attending high school during active play causes rank to increase VERY quickly. Apparently, despite being renegades, the Wildfangs strongly approve of education and school attendance.

LOL (education). Seems backwards, but I'm glad EA took that stand for the sake of teen players. My werewolf is almost Apex. Not sure how to make him pack alpha, but I will see what I can do. Downloading a Rory and installing her didn't work. :( Thanks for the advice.

@SteveBridger Did you mean that you can click on the hangout and assign an alpha?

I have that same question. Where do you click for the Wildfangs hangout?

@Celticlass The Wildfangs hangout is the trailer near the Grimtooth bar.
There are various options if you click on the hangout, like "Focus camera on pack leader".
Both packs still have their alphas in my game so I can't test to see if some option about assigning an alpha comes up in the case that there isn't one.

I have tried to click everywhere around the hangout. Especially the trailer. Nothing is clickable except the few usable objects (bonfire, chair, and workout machine). There was a wildfang hanging out there when my teen was a child, but he died. So there is no one and nothing. I don't want to uninstall the game and reinstall. I might just have to play the scenario in my head in a new neighborhood. I started this game in an existing neighborhood.

It sounds like something happened there which shouldn't have. I created a test save in which I removed Rory from the game, and once she was gone clicking on the trailer at the hangout gave the option to claim pack leadership of the Wildfangs for a pack member sim who wasn't even at Beta rank. I assume this would not work for a sim who is not already a member of the Wildfangs.

When you're looking at the werewolf pack tab, on your sim which is a member of that pack, is it showing "In Transition" where the name of the leader would ordinarily be?

Also, make sure Rory is actually dead. She's been known to move out of town, but that doesn't disrupt her role as pack alpha. In one of my saves she moved to Evergreen Harbor and started a family, and is too busy with her children to be spending time at the hangout unless she's brought there.

Edit: I misread your original post as your sim's father being a member of the Wildfangs already, when he's actually a member of the Moonwood Collective. My apologies. If all of the Wildfangs are dead, there's really nothing you can do to revive that pack without using cheats. I believe I know which ones to use, and in what sequence, if you want to attempt that.

It would help if I could fix the issue. I'm willing to try. I built a ski lodge so my sims can vaca and ski. Strange combination. All are very creative even though I didn't choose that for their personality. All love dancing except the one that I wanted in the Wildfangs. They all love the outdoors even though only 1 has that personality. All are very active and sporty although only my Wildfang wanna be has that personality. If the cheat doesn't work, I'll end up moving everyone to a new game. I appreciate your help, Steve.
